NBA ECF Game 1: Cavs destroy Celtics!

603274dc49c710051ad5152d51ae1161EVERYONE is expecting LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers to steamroll the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals — and the early signs are it will happen after a beatdown of epic proportions in Game One.

James and the Cavs basically did whatever they wanted in a 117-104 mauling, which saw the best player in the game finish with 38 points, seven assists, nine rebounds and two steals.

“It’s hard to believe, but he’s better than when I got in the league. A lot better,” Celtics coach Brad Stevens said. “I didn’t think he could get any better … but he is.”

James’ record in the first game of a series in which his team is the lower-ranked side — as the Cavs are in this match-up with No. 1 seed Celtics — was an unflattering 1-10 entering the game.

That record is now 2-10, while the Cavs improved to 9-0 in this season’s playoffs and James extended his personal streak of the most consecutive playoff series with at least one road win to an NBA record of 29.
